There’s no other word except stunning for this. So cobwebby more than the stone of the wall, the play of light in the everhungry darkness captured here is astonishing. A beautiful agelessness to it: not in the sense of no age, but rather buffeted around on ages and indifferent to eons and as if the light would shine forever, would fight forever.
